Covid 19 / Social Distancing

To comply with government guidelines and ensure the safety of our guests and staff we have made many changes to how our glampsite runs.

At the main entrance from the car park you will be asked to use the hand sanitizer provided. Further sanitizing stations are located at relevant points around any communal areas. Soft furnishings are removed from communal spaces to comply with covid 19 guidelines. Due to the many upgrades we have made most guests will be able to enjoy their break without needing to use any shared facilities or touch any shared surfaces from exiting their vehicle to entering their accommodation.

Our linen is professionally laundered at high temperature by celtic linen. Unfortunately our beautifully coloured bedspreads, throws and cushions will not be available as per govt guidelines. All beds and pillows have protectors fitted. At the end of your stay we will ask guests to remove the duvet covers, sheets and pillow cases from beds and place them in the special linen bags provided. This will help to reduce risk to our cleaning staff. If guests prefer to bring their own linen we can facilitate this by arrangement. Hard surfaces will be sprayed with disinfectant, paying particular attention to light switches, door handles etc. This is in addition to our usual thorough cleaning regime between guests.

Covid 19 has forced us to bring major structural changes to our glampsite. However we feel that long term some of these will be beneficial to our guests.

Sanitization

All of our accommodation units now have a private toilet and sink. Our buses have them onboard, the shepherds hut and pod have mini shepherds huts style toilets constructed alongside each, fully sealed and decorated to house standards. Our apartment room is fully ensuite and self contained with large kitchen and living/dining room.

Our other accommodation units can use our individual shower rooms with unlimited hot water located externally on our central building. These will be sprayed with disinfectant at least twice daily per guidelines. On request we will spray them before /after each guest use also if possible or provide facilities for guests to spray disinfectant showers themselves.Where possible please bring your own towels for showers.

While we have plans in place, please understand that we may have to alter them as we go along the steep learning curve that Covid 19 has brought upon us.

Cooking Facilities

Outdoor roofed mini kitchen units with a standard stainless steel kitchen sink, gas stoves etc. have been constructed beside each unit. Crockery, utensils etc are stored in large sealed plastic boxes on shelves to ensure hygiene standards. Crockery will be cleaned at high temperature in a dishwasher between guest stays. Self catering will be a popular option in 2020 and we feel that our facilities are ideal for families or couples/adult groups to enjoy a safe holiday while maintaining social distancing and cleaning standards as required by government guidelines.

The Lilac Wagon, our large retro caravan now has a beautifully converted 1960’s rice horsebox alongside housing a functional yet cute toilet/sink inside the front horse door and a mini kitchen and seating area with fridge in the larger rear area.

There will also be disposable barbecues available for sale at €5 each.

Our wood fired pizza oven will generally be available for use on request.

Socialising

We now have three fully separate covered areas with fire pits so individual guest groups can enjoy the camaraderie of the campfire while maintaining social distancing irrespective of the irish weather. These areas will be spray disinfected twice daily.

Our main campers kitchen will be limited to use by the guests of our apartment room. For groups wishing to book more than one accommodation unit, including the apartment room will allow your group use of the formerly communal kitchen/living room area.
